Description
Pattern clarity · Pressure insight · Long-term progression
These ISSF pistol tracking charts are designed for shooters who want to understand how their performance behaves over time, not analyse every shot in isolation.
Rather than encouraging score-by-score fixation, the charts support pattern recognition, pressure comparison, and objective self-analysis—the same principles used by coaches and sport psychologists working with developing and elite shooters.
Each chart provides a clear visual record of trends, stability, and change across a season, allowing shooters to make better-informed training decisions without over-interpreting individual results.
What the charts track — and why it matters
Front of chart: Shot Point Average (SPA)
The front page of each chart is dedicated to shot point average tracking.
This allows shooters to monitor execution quality across sessions, highlighting consistency, plateaus, and gradual improvement—without the noise of single scores.
From a sport psychology perspective, SPA tracking shifts attention away from outcome chasing and toward process stability and repeatability, which are more predictive of long-term performance development.
Back of chart: Low-pressure vs High-pressure performance
The reverse side separates results into two distinct contexts:
-
Low-pressure match scores (club matches, training matches, familiar environments)
-
High-pressure competition scores (selection events, championships, unfamiliar or consequential settings)
This separation is deliberate. It allows shooters to identify whether performance changes under pressure are systemic, context-specific, or stable across environments—a critical distinction when planning training interventions or competition preparation.

Australian grading system · International orders
These charts are produced using the Australian grading system.
If you are based outside Australia, you have two simple options:
-
Order and use the charts as they are. Many international shooters do this and ignore the coloured grading lines or use them reference guides.
-
Request a country-specific version. Email us and we will provide a quote to adjust the grading structure to your country’s system. This includes layout changes and printing costs where required.
If you’re unsure which option is best for you, get in touch and we’ll help you decide.
